HOW TO START

As an RTS game, we have to think about how to move the minions and make it reasonable and smooth in VR world- A "magnet" comes out. The blue magnet can pick up the minions by absorbing them. The players can be quickly accustomed to it.

DIFFERENT STAGES

Different stages are necessary in game. Time for each stage is important to balance the difficulty and players' interests. Stages are designed according to players' journey: realize what happens in the virtual world, learn the basic operation and face to the increasing difficulty.

ART WORK AND SCENE'S LAYOUT

VR world is full of fun but also full of distractions. As a video game, players need to be instructed by designer's indirect controls. We changed and simplified the scene for many times(also due to the limitations of PSmove which only allowed an 180 degree space). For instance: four different islands on the opposite of players will direct them to start moving as we wanted.

THE CRYSTAL GUARDIAN

The Crystal Guardian is the game I just made with my friends. The game is based on Oculus with input device: PSmove. It's designed for a game festival and thus the game design focuses on clear feedback, reasonable difficulty and better VR experience for the first-time player.
